CANDLE CARE
Lighting a candle is a small act. Done with intention, it becomes something else - a signal to yourself that this moment is worth paying attention to. These are the things worth knowing before you light it.

01 Trim
Trim your wick to 1/4 inch before every burn.
A trimmed wick produces a cleaner, steadier flame with less soot and a longer burn. Scissors work. A wick trimmer is better. Make it part of the ritual.
02 Burn
On your first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges -- at least 2 to 3 hours for the full-size ceramic vessel.
This sets the candle's memory. A candle extinguished too early on its first burn will tunnel, creating a well down the center and leaving wax along the sides that never fully burns. Every burn after this one follows the pattern of the first burn.
For ongoing burns: 2 to 4 hours at a time for the full-size ceramic. Never exceed 4 hours in a single session.
For The Travel Loop Discovery tins: limit burns to 2 hours at a time. Smaller vessels reach temperature faster. Shorter sessions protect both the scent and the tin.
03 Stop
Stop burning the candle when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains.
Burning beyond this point can overheat the vessel. The remaining wax makes cleaning easier.
04 Upcycle
After the final burn, remove any remaining wax before cleaning.
For the full-size ceramic vessel: pour a small amount of boiling water into the vessel to loosen the wax. Once cooled, lift the solidified wax out and wash with warm soapy water.
For The Travel Loop Discovery tins: freeze for two hours, pop out remaining wax, wash with warm soapy water.
Your vessel is made for a second life - planter, organizer, jewelry dish.
The loop continues.
Please be candle safe. Always keep candles away from things that burn. Keep away from children and pets. Never leave burning candle unattended. Burn on heat resistant surface. Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting.
